Pretty in Pink

Local Post mistress supported the "Wild Pink Yonder Society" whose mission is to bring awarenss and raise money for breast cancer research. The local post office was all decked out in pink - check the link below to see a picture if you missed seeing it.  Recently the Wild Pink Yonder Society spent a day in Hill Spring, riding local trails lead by a local trail boss Wayne Deering and son Trevor and participting in the Dinner show and dance at The Great Canadian Barn Dance. Of Hill Spring the Society says, "Hill Spring is a tiny little place with a big heart. ... What a great bunch of people! What a beautiful piece of Alberta! Thank you Hill Spring. We love you."

The Bide a Wee Quilt Group auctioned a quilt that sold for $1200.00 and all proceeds  went to Wild Pink Yonder.  The Great Canadian Barn Dance also raised $1000.00 and donated it to the society.   The Ag Society fed them supper, breakfast and lunch the following day were also donated and hay for the horses.  Great job Hill Spring!  We wish all the riders success in their mission as they travel 23 days across Alberta.  Happy Trails!!
