Agencies, boards, commissions, committees, are established by the Village Council under the Municipal Government Act to attend to specific issues within the municipality. These bodies are made up of dedicated volunteers from our local community who contribute their ideas, vision and expertise to move important community projects forward. A minimum of one Council member also serves on each committee along with members of the community at large. Village Council depends on volunteers for the successful operation of its Boards, Commissions, and other bodies.

Cemetery Committee

The purpose of the Cemetery Committee is to oversee the care and manage the Hill Spring cemetery as directed by the Cemetery Regulation Bylaw.

Development Appeal Board

The purpose of the DAB is to hear appeals regarding decisions made by the Development Officer, Subdivision Authority, or the Municipal Planning Commission on development or subdivision applications.

Municipal Planning Commission

The mandate of the Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) is to advise and decide on land use, planning, development and subdivision issues. The Commission acts as the principal advisory committee of village Council and administration for planning matters.
