At Council meeting on June 18th, Council reviewed the proposed water conservation plan. In May, the Minister of Environment sent a letter to all small water license holders asking us to reduce our water consumption by 5-10%. Council approved this plan unanimously. As well, a motion was approved to enter LEVEL 1 of our conservation plan. We ask residents to review this plan and follow it. Water is a critical resource, and with this plan, we are confident we can not only meet the reduction asked by the province but also use both treated and irrigation water responsibly.
